Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Education is the embodiment of civilization. Education increases harmony among people and enriches culture and civilization. Education removes prejudice and spreads the light of knowledge among people. Therefore, Civil Aviation School and College, Kurmitola has continued its educational activities since its establishment, keeping in mind the motto 'Education is light, knowledge is power'. The institution is continuously trying to modernize itself in accordance with the needs of the time and the epoch-making changes that have been made in the current education system. The main goal of this institution is to develop a student into a qualified ideal citizen through real education. In this era of machine civilization, technical knowledge has become essential in order to keep pace with the modern world, along with an up-to-date quality education system. The seeds of immense potential are embedded in every human being. Just as seeds germinate in suitable light, air, soil and water, ensuring the right educational environment also enables the potential development of the latent talent within every child. Realizing this truth, this institution is playing an important role in the intellectual development of students by motivating them in various co-curricular activities, sports and cultural practices in addition to general education. In the current technology-dependent world, the application of advanced technology in the field of education has undoubtedly made the field of education dynamic and fast-paced. In this era of competition, the teachers of this institution have taken the institution to a unique height by giving their talent, labor and time to transform the students into more intelligent and skilled human resources. I hope that this difficult journey of climbing to the golden peak of success will continue. I believe that the institution will establish itself as a best modern educational institution full of knowledge and science in the future. I hope that the students will become enlightened people by acquiring the right knowledge and serve the country and the people. I extend my sincere best wishes to all the teachers, students and employees of the institution. Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Civil Aviation School and College, Kurmitola is a renowned educational institution run by the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority. The institution was established in 1978 in Kawlar, Kurmitola, near Dhaka. Since then, the institution has achieved continuous success with the continuous efforts of the principal, teachers and officers and employees. In continuation of this, English medium was introduced in 2022. In addition, the academic activities of the college branch have started from the 2022-2023 academic year. In a short span of time, this institution has already gained a nationwide reputation by achieving enviable success. With the continuation of success, the institution has now become an indicator of academic excellence. Educational institutions are the cradle of creating skilled human resources. Therefore, in the formation of the future Bangladesh, we are determined to create potential, humble, humane, responsible, and knowledge-seeking students by expanding ideal and advanced education. Today's buds will blossom into the potential flowers of the future. In the proper care of the tender students like dormant talented buds, along with education, knowledge, science, culture, and values, the most important thing is discipline. Because discipline can tie everything to the thread of rules. To ensure good education with discipline and regularity, we have experienced and talented teachers who are always committed to developing the talent and mindset of students in the light of their own talent, labor, experience, and creativity. In addition, we have a spacious campus, green playgrounds, quality classrooms, air-conditioned libraries, science laboratories, computer labs, and children's parks. To motivate students in co-education, sports, and cultural practices, various clubs including Science Club, Debate Club, Language Club, Information Club, and Cultural Club are active under the supervision of skilled and experienced teachers. Our goal is to go beyond the traditional, conventional education system based on memorization and certification and create enlightened human resources with real education, moral and humane understanding, who will be the leaders of a prosperous Bangladesh in the future. About
History
History
Civil Aviation School and College
Civil Aviation School and College, one of the country's leading educational institutions, is located in Kurmitola, near Dhaka. This institution was built by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh on January 22, 1978, under the name “Civil Aviation Primary School” for the education of the children of the officers and employees of the Civil Aviation Authority. Initially, teaching activities began with 3 teachers and a total of 122 students. In 1983, with the approval of the Dhaka Education Board, the name of the institution was changed to “Civil Aviation High School”. That year, students participated in the SSC examination for the first time and achieved incredible success. In 1994, a student from the school secured 18th place in the Dhaka Board examination, and in 1995, a student secured 18th place and another student secured 20th place. After that, the institution continued to run at its own pace for 22 long years. Through various ups and downs and struggles, Wing Commander Md. Moniruzzaman, psc, joined the institution as its principal in 2021. Under his leadership, the organization continued to move forward at a rapid pace. Immediately after assuming office as the Principal, Wing Commander Md. Moniruzzaman overhauled all aspects of the entire institution and took it to a unique height. Through his tireless efforts, the institution received approval to teach higher secondary education on April 5, 2022. For this reason, the institution was renamed “Civil Aviation School and College”. Prioritizing the need of the time, teaching in English version was started in the secondary branch from play to fifth grade in 2022, and in 2024, with the permission of the Dhaka Education Board, teaching in English version was started in the college branch. Established on 3 acres of land, this institution has a total of 67 sections with morning shifts for female students and day shifts for male students. Here, in addition to academic activities for students from kindergarten to twelfth grade, various co-curricular activities including science, literature, culture, and sports competitions are conducted. Facing various adversities, the institution achieved the distinction of 100% pass rate in the secondary examination in 2023, and a few students secured first place in the Dhaka Board in the Business Education department. In addition, the institution is moving forward on the path of development, with various successes in co-educational programs. With experience, prudence, honesty, dedication, and tireless work, Principal Md. Moniruzzaman has been able to establish Civil Aviation School and College as a reputable educational institution. To ensure an advanced technology-based education system to meet the challenges of the 21st century, Civil Aviation School and College is committed to encouraging and making students skilled in basic and creative work by improving the quality of education, use necessary educational materials, and teach using advanced and modern technology in the classroom.
